Installation

Download the .dmg
Choose Apple Silicon or Intel depending on your Mac. If unsure, use the universal build.
Open and drag to Applications
Double-click the .dmg and drag the Velua icon into your Applications folder.
Open Velua
Find Velua in Launchpad or Spotlight and sign in with your account.

The app is signed and notarized by Apple. On first launch, click 'Open' if Gatekeeper prompts you.

FAQ

Common questions

Is the app safe? Where does it come from?

The 0.2.0 release is distributed unsigned while signing and Apple notarization are in progress. All code runs locally; no credentials are sent without your explicit consent. See “macOS blocks the app” below for the one-time first-run step.

macOS says the app can’t be opened / unidentified developer

The 0.2.0 build isn’t notarized yet, so macOS shows a Gatekeeper warning. Right-click the app in Finder → Open, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click “Open Anyway”. You only need to do this once. Developer ID signing and Apple notarization are on the roadmap for a future release.

Is the download free?

The app itself is free to download and install. The Free plan includes basic usage with no credit card required. Paid plans unlock higher volume and advanced integrations.

How do auto-updates work?

The app checks for updates in the background on launch. When a new version is available, it's downloaded silently and applied on next restart — no action needed from you.

What are the minimum requirements?

macOS 12 Monterey or later · Windows 10/11 (x64 or ARM64) · Linux: Ubuntu 20.04+, Fedora 36+, or any distro with glibc 2.31+. Processor: any 64-bit CPU released after 2017.

Do I need an account to use it?

Yes. The app requires signing in with your Velua account to sync agents and settings. Create a free account at velua.ai in under 1 minute.
